CVE-2025-21071

Memory corruption via unvalidated fingerprint opcode

Published Nov 5, 2025 · Updated Nov 5, 2025

Out-of-bounds write in the fingerprint trustlet in Samsung Mobile Devices before SMR Nov-2025 Release 1 allows local users to corrupt memory. The opcode handler fails to validate an input boundary before writing, allowing a crafted opcode to direct a write beyond its intended memory region. Local high privileges are required; published material establishes out-of-bounds memory writes but does not establish code execution or service interruption.
