Physical privileged command execution
Published Sep 25, 2025 · Updated Sep 25, 2025
Improper input validation in Samsung Retail Mode before 5.59.4 allows physically proximate attackers to execute privileged commands. Samsung has not disclosed the affected code path or input, stating only that the patch removes unsafe code. Physical access and existing low privileges on the attacker's own retail display device are required to run commands beyond that access.
