CVE-2025-21055Network attack vector

Memory exposure via getOverlap integer overflow

Published Oct 10, 2025 · Updated Oct 10, 2025

Out-of-bounds read and write in Samsung Mobile Devices before SMR Oct-2025 Release 1 allows remote attackers to access memory via a crafted DNG image. The QuramDng getOverlap routine miscalculates an overlap value, causing an integer overflow that drives out-of-bounds reads and writes. The attack requires user interaction to process the image and can expose adjacent memory; published scoring reports no integrity or availability impact.
