Itinerary modification via unverified broadcast intent
Published Sep 3, 2025 · Updated Sep 3, 2025
Improper intent verification in Samsung Assistant before 9.3.2 allows local attackers to modify stored itinerary information. SystemExceptionalBroadcastReceiver accepts an explicit Android intent from another application without confirming that it is an authorized system intent, then treats the spoofed message as trusted itinerary input. A malicious application on the same Galaxy device requires neither user interaction nor prior privileges; the public record reports no data disclosure or broader code execution.
