Published Sep 3, 2025 · Updated Sep 3, 2025

Improper permission handling in Samsung Mobile Devices on Chinese Android 15 allows physically proximate attackers to run apps in the background. AppPrelaunchManagerService does not enforce the required permission when triggering background application execution; Samsung has not disclosed the specific method or request path. Physical access to an affected Chinese-market device is required, and the launched application can run without a normal foreground start.
