Local memory corruption via missing input validation
Published Jun 4, 2025 · Updated Jun 4, 2025
Out-of-bounds write in libsecimaging.camera.samsung.so on Samsung Mobile Devices with Android 13 through 15 allows local users to corrupt memory. The camera imaging library fails to validate an input before writing through it, permitting a write beyond the intended memory boundary. Exploitation requires local access to an affected device, and Samsung reports memory corruption but does not disclose the malformed input or call path.
