Memory disclosure via unvalidated camera-library input
Published Jun 4, 2025 · Updated Jun 4, 2025
Out-of-bounds read in Samsung Mobile Devices before SMR Jun-2025 Release 1 allows local users to read memory via the camera library. The proprietary libsecimaging.camera.samsung.so library fails to validate input before an imaging operation reads beyond a buffer boundary. The attacker must execute locally on an affected Android 13, 14, or 15 device, and the established impact is limited to data beyond the intended memory boundary.
