HMAC key disclosure via fingerprint trustlet logging

Published Jun 4, 2025 · Updated Jun 4, 2025

Improper logging in the fingerprint trustlet on Samsung Mobile Devices before SMR Jun-2025 Release 1 allows local users to obtain an HMAC key. The trustlet records the HMAC key through an unnecessary logging implementation; Samsung does not identify the log path or call site.
