VoWiFi manipulation via unchecked broadcast intents
Published May 7, 2025 · Updated May 7, 2025
Improper intent verification in UnifiedWFC before SMR May-2025 Release 1 allows local users to manipulate VoWiFi behavior. Its broadcast receiver accepts an intent without the required access-control verification, allowing untrusted local input to alter VoWiFi-related operation. Exploitation requires low-privilege local access to a select Samsung device running Android 13, 14, or 15, and the published impact is limited to manipulating VoWiFi behavior.
