CVE-2025-20949

Arbitrary file read and write via path traversal

Published May 7, 2025 · Updated May 7, 2025

Path traversal in Samsung Members before 5.0.00.11 allows local users to read and write arbitrary files with the app's privileges. The affected code path and input source are undisclosed; Samsung states only that the patch adds proper input validation, so the exact traversal operation is not public. Exploitation requires local access to a Galaxy device, and resulting access is limited to files reachable with Samsung Members privileges.
