CVE-2025-20947

Cross-user image disclosure via ClipboardService access control

Published Apr 8, 2025 · Updated Apr 8, 2025

Improper privilege handling in Samsung Mobile Devices before SMR Apr-2025 Release 1 allows local users to read other users' image files. ClipboardService fails to enforce proper access control when handling image-file access across device user profiles, exposing files belonging to a different user. Triggering the cross-profile disclosure requires user interaction on an affected Android 13, 14, or 15 device; no integrity or availability impact is reported.
