Local memory disclosure via malformed BMP parsing
Published Mar 6, 2025 · Updated Mar 6, 2025
Out-of-bounds read in Samsung Notes before 4.4.26.71 allows local users to disclose process memory through a crafted BMP image. The BMP parser fails to validate image input before reading beyond the intended buffer boundary. Local low-privileged access is required, and the reported consequence is disclosure of out-of-bounds process memory without integrity or availability impact.
