Local memory disclosure via unchecked WBMP length
Published Mar 6, 2025 · Updated Mar 6, 2025
Out-of-bounds read in Samsung Notes before 4.4.26.71 allows local users to access memory through a crafted WBMP image. The WBMP parser lacks a proper length check before accessing image data, allowing malformed input to drive a read beyond the intended buffer. Exploitation requires low-privileged local access and exposes memory contents without reported modification or service interruption.
