CVE-2025-2092

Authentication-secret disclosure via failed debug-log redaction

Published Apr 22, 2025 · Updated Apr 22, 2025

Sensitive-data logging in Checkmk affected releases allows local users with administrator access to read remote-site authentication secrets. When Web logging is set to debug for a distributed site, the Site states message writes those secrets to var/log/web.log without redaction. The condition requires configured remote sites and Web debug logging; administrators who can read the log obtain the stored secrets.
