CVE-2025-20918

Memory disclosure via unvalidated base-content extra data

Published Mar 6, 2025 · Updated Mar 6, 2025

Out-of-bounds reading in Samsung Notes before 4.4.26.71 allows local users to read process memory through crafted base-content extra data. The base-content extra-data handling logic applies insufficiently validated input and reads beyond the intended memory buffer. A local low-privileged context is required, and the documented consequence is memory disclosure only, not modification or code execution.
