Memory disclosure and corruption via improper input validation
Published Feb 4, 2025 · Updated Feb 4, 2025
Out-of-bounds access in the mPOS TUI trustlet in Samsung Mobile Devices before SMR Feb-2025 Release 1 allows local users to read and write memory. The trustlet fails to validate input before performing memory access, permitting reads and writes beyond the intended buffer boundaries. Exploitation requires elevated local privileges on an affected Qualcomm-based device; reads expose adjacent memory and writes corrupt memory.
