Arbitrary app installation via alternate access path
Published Feb 4, 2025 · Updated Feb 4, 2025
Authentication bypass in Samsung Galaxy Store before 4.5.87.6 allows physical attackers to install arbitrary apps during Setupwizard. An alternate installation path fails to enforce the access control that normally restricts app installation while Setupwizard is active. Exploitation requires physical device access and user interaction, and it permits arbitrary app installation beyond Setupwizard restrictions.
