Improper access control in Samsung Message before SMR Jan-2025 Release 1 allows physically proximate attackers to read cross-profile data. Samsung identifies the locus only as Samsung Message and states that the patch adds proper access control, without disclosing the unchecked request or permission path. Physical possession of an Android 12, 13, or 14 device with multiple user profiles is required; the reported impact is cross-profile data access, with no integrity or availability impact.
