Integer overflow in the dpe component of MediaTek chipsets allows local users with System privilege to escalate privileges. The dpe component performs an undisclosed integer operation that can overflow and corrupt memory; MediaTek has not published the affected function or input path. Exploitation requires existing System privilege and user interaction, and the resulting corruption can grant higher local privileges.
