CVE-2025-20788

Local service interruption via unchecked GPU registers

Published Dec 2, 2025 · Updated Dec 2, 2025

Improper register access in GPU pdma on MediaTek MT6991 and MT8196 with Android 15.0 allows local users to interrupt service. The register interface omits a permission check, allowing unauthorized register operations that corrupt memory.
