Double free in the display component of MediaTek chipsets allows local users with System privilege to escalate privileges through memory corruption. The display component frees the same allocation twice and leaves released memory reachable, but MediaTek has not disclosed the affected function or input path. Exploitation requires prior System privilege and no user interaction; successful abuse yields higher local privileges.
