Device crash via missing modem bounds check

Reachable assertion in MediaTek Modem NR15 through NR17R allows physically proximate attackers to crash a device via a rogue base station. The modem fails to validate an input boundary before reaching an assertion, terminating the system instead of rejecting the input. Exploitation requires the user equipment to connect to an attacker-controlled rogue base station; no privileges or user interaction are required, and the reported consequence is a crash rather than code execution.
