Subscriber-level SQL injection via unescaped sSearch parameter
Published Mar 28, 2025 · Updated Apr 8, 2026
SQL injection in Advanced Google reCAPTCHA 1.29 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to read sensitive database data via sSearch. The plugin inserts the user-supplied sSearch value into an existing SQL query without sufficient escaping or prepared-query parameterization. Subscriber-level access is sufficient, particularly when the settings page remains unvisited and the welcome message remains undismissed.
