Local information disclosure via incorrect bounds check
Published Jul 8, 2025 · Updated Jul 8, 2025
Out-of-bounds read in MediaTek WLAN AP driver SDK 7.6.7.2 and earlier and OpenWrt 19.07 and 21.02 allows local users to disclose memory. The driver performs an incorrect bounds check before reading memory, but MediaTek has not identified the affected function or attacker-controlled input path. User-level local execution is required, no user interaction is needed, and the documented consequence is information disclosure only.
