Incorrect authorization in MediaTek WLAN AP drivers allows remote attackers to elevate privileges by injecting arbitrary packets. The driver accepts attacker-supplied packets without the permission check needed to restrict packet injection. No prior execution privileges or user interaction is required; the issue affects specified chipsets running SDK release 7.6.7.2 and earlier or the listed OpenWrt builds.
