Improper certificate validation in MediaTek Modem NR16, NR17, and NR17R allows remote attackers to disclose information via a rogue base station. MediaTek has not disclosed which modem certificate check is incomplete or which certificate property the affected releases fail to validate. Exploitation requires user interaction, user execution privileges, and a UE connected to an attacker-controlled rogue base station; the reported impact is information disclosure only.
