CVE-2025-20626

Local code execution via runtime use-after-free

Published Mar 4, 2025 · Updated Mar 4, 2025

Use-after-free in OpenHarmony 4.1.0 through 5.0.2 allows local users to execute arbitrary code in pre-installed apps through ArkCompiler ETS Runtime. OpenHarmony identifies ArkCompiler ETS Runtime as the affected component but has not published the object-lifetime error, triggering input, or faulty function that leaves freed memory accessible. Exploitation requires low local privileges, no user interaction, and restricted scenarios; the vendor has not defined those restrictions.
