Stored XSS via unneutralized navigation anchor href
Published Dec 3, 2025 · Updated Dec 3, 2025
Stored XSS in Splunk Web in Splunk Enterprise and Splunk Cloud Platform allows remote authenticated users to run JavaScript in a victim's browser. The navigation collection renderer accepts a crafted anchor href and later presents it to another user without neutralizing executable content. Exploitation requires admin_all_objects and victim interaction; the published impact is limited to unauthorized browser-side code and low confidentiality loss.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
Is a vulnerable build present?
Compare these published version ranges with your installed build and any vendor patches.
- Affected versionversion=10.0 <10.0.2
- Affected versionversion=9.2 <9.2.10
