CVE-2025-20379Network attack vector

Saved-search data exposure via encoded REST path

Published Nov 12, 2025 · Updated Nov 12, 2025

Authorization bypass in Splunk Enterprise and Splunk Cloud Platform allows remote authenticated users to expose saved-search results. The /services/streams/search endpoint accepts a character-encoded REST path through q that circumvents endpoint restrictions and runs a risky saved search with higher-privileged permissions. Exploitation requires Splunk Web and a victim-initiated browser request; the attacker cannot trigger the flaw at will.
