Cross-site request forgery in Splunk Web allows remote attackers to restart a Search Head Cluster through an administrator's browser. Splunk Web accepts a specially crafted SPL search command from a cross-origin browser request and passes it to the cluster's rolling-restart operation. Exploitation requires an administrator-level victim to initiate the request in a browser, causing a temporary service interruption rather than attacker-controlled access.
