Improper access control in Splunk Enterprise and Splunk Cloud Platform allows remote authenticated users to suppress read-only alerts. The public advisory does not disclose the faulty endpoint or code path, only that alert suppression remains available despite read-only access. Exploitation requires a low-privileged account without the admin or power role, read-only access to the targeted alert, and Splunk Web to be enabled.
