Root command execution via insufficient field validation
Published May 21, 2025 · Updated Feb 26, 2026
Command injection in Cisco Secure Network Analytics 7.4.1 through 7.5.2 allows remote authenticated users to execute commands as root. Specific fields in the web-based management interface accept crafted input without sufficient validation and pass it into an operating-system command context. Valid administrative credentials and access to the Manager or Virtual Manager interface are required; successful exploitation grants root-level command execution.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
