CVE-2025-2024

Code execution via uninitialized SKP parser memory

Published Mar 7, 2025 · Updated Mar 7, 2025

Use of an uninitialized variable in Trimble Inc. SketchUp before 2025.0 allows remote attackers to execute code via a crafted SKP file. The SKP parser accesses memory without properly initializing it, allowing attacker-controlled file data to influence execution. Exploitation requires a user to visit a malicious page or open the file, and code runs in the current SketchUp process.
