CVE-2025-20106

Local privilege escalation via installer search path

Published Feb 10, 2026 · Updated Feb 10, 2026

Uncontrolled search path in Intel VTune Profiler and oneAPI Base Toolkit before 2025.0 allows local users to escalate privileges. An affected installer searches a fixed path containing an attacker-writable location and can load attacker-controlled code; Intel has not disclosed the installer, resource name, or path element. Exploitation requires an authenticated local user, high-complexity conditions, active user interaction, and present attack requirements, after which the code gains elevated privileges.
