Authenticated code execution via unrestricted PHP upload
Published Apr 1, 2025 · Updated Apr 8, 2026
Arbitrary file upload in Smackcoders WP Ultimate CSV Importer 7.19 and earlier, and 7.20 allows remote authenticated users to execute PHP code. The import_single_post_as_csv() AJAX handler moves attacker-named files into a publicly accessible uploads directory without extension or type validation. Subscriber access supplies the required dashboard nonce; requesting an uploaded PHP file executes code with the web server's privileges.
