CVE-2025-20065

Privilege escalation via uncontrolled driver search path

Published Nov 11, 2025 · Updated Nov 11, 2025

Uncontrolled search path in Intel Display Virtualization for Windows OS before 1797 allows local users to escalate privileges. The affected Ring 2 drivers load a library through an uncontrolled search path, but Intel has not disclosed the executable, library, or directory involved. Exploitation requires low-privileged authenticated access, high complexity, attack requirements, and active user interaction, and can compromise system confidentiality, integrity, and availability.
