Denial of service via uncaught core exception

An uncaught exception in core management in Intel Processors allows local users with low privileges to cause a denial of service. The core management mechanism fails to catch an exception, allowing the exceptional condition to escape and interrupt processor service. Exploitation requires local authenticated access and low privileges; Intel has not disclosed the triggering operation or whether the interruption is a hang, crash, or reboot.
