CVE-2025-20046

Unauthenticated service interruption via use-after-free

Published May 13, 2025 · Updated May 14, 2025

Use-after-free in Intel PROSet/Wireless WiFi Software for Windows before 23.100 allows remote attackers with adjacent access to interrupt service. Intel identifies the memory-lifetime error but does not disclose the affected driver object, function, or crafted wireless input that reuses freed memory. Exploitation requires no authentication or user interaction, and service interruption is the only consequence explicitly identified by the advisory.
