Local privilege escalation via uncontrolled search path
Published May 13, 2025 · Updated Feb 26, 2026
Uncontrolled search path in Intel RealSense SDK before 2.56.2 allows local users to escalate privileges on the host. Intel has not published the affected executable or library, the searched directory, or the unsafe loading operation. Exploitation requires low-privileged local access, high complexity, a precondition, and user interaction; successful abuse compromises the host.
