Use of unmaintained components in Intel Processor Identification Utility before 8.0.43 allows local users to escalate privileges. Intel identifies the locus only as unmaintained third-party components within the Ring 3 application and does not disclose which dependency or flawed operation is exploitable. A local authenticated user can reach the flaw without user interaction or additional attack requirements, compromising the vulnerable system's data and execution integrity.
