CVE-2025-1985Network attack vector

User redirection via stored HART message HTML

Published May 26, 2025 · Updated May 27, 2025

Stored cross-site scripting in Pepperl+Fuchs Profinet Gateways before 1.3.13 allows remote attackers to inject HTML into the Web UI. The gateway renders an HTML tag of up to 32 characters from a HART transmitter message field as markup when HART information is viewed in a browser. The web server is disabled by default and runs for five minutes after local display activation; exploitation requires user interaction and can redirect a viewer to an attacker-controlled site.
