CVE-2025-1950

Local command execution via untrusted library loading

Published Apr 22, 2025 · Updated Feb 26, 2026

Process-control failure in IBM Hardware Management Console V10.2.1030.0 and V10.3.1050.0 allows local users to execute commands. An incorrectly permitted environment variable accepts a library from an untrusted source without adequate validation, causing a process to load attacker-controlled code. Local access is required, and successful exploitation runs commands in the affected HMC process context, with confidentiality, integrity, and availability consequences.
