Uncontrolled resource consumption in Eclipse Jetty 12.0.0 through 12.0.16 allows remote attackers to crash the JVM via HTTP/2. HTTP2Session.configure() accepts an unbounded MAX_HEADER_LIST_SIZE setting that becomes ByteBuffer capacity when encoding responses. Any unauthenticated HTTP/2 peer can trigger memory exhaustion, causing repeated OutOfMemoryError events or process exit.
