CVE-2025-1939Public exploit

Unauthorized permission grants via transparent Custom Tab transitions

Published Mar 4, 2025 · Updated Apr 13, 2026

Tapjacking in Mozilla Firefox for Android before 136 allows attackers to obtain sensitive website permissions through Custom Tabs. Firefox processes taps during an attacker-supplied transparent entry animation instead of waiting for the activity transition to finish. Animations must be enabled, a malicious app must be installed, and the user must tap the aligned decoy before a hidden permission control is activated.
