Authenticated file overwrite via MIME type bypass
Published Mar 3, 2025 · Updated Mar 4, 2025
Unrestricted file upload in Shishuocms 1.1 allows remote authenticated users to overwrite server files through the management interface. ManageUpLoadAction.handleRequest trusts an image MIME declaration while retaining the supplied .jsp filename when saving the upload. An authenticated management session is required; a crafted JSP labeled image/png can be stored and replace an existing file.
