CVE-2025-1888Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Authenticated script execution via unsanitized memo tooltip

Published Mar 14, 2025 · Updated Mar 14, 2025

Stored XSS in Leica Biosystems Aperio eSlide Manager 12.3.2.5030 allows remote authenticated users to execute script in a victim's browser. The Web Viewer saves JavaScript from a slide's memo field without sanitizing it and renders the payload through the hover-over tooltip. The attacker needs access to slides in a project, and a victim must hover over the memo icon; the script then runs in that victim's browser context.
