CVE-2025-1838Network attack vector

Authenticated denial of service via client-side validation bypass

Published May 3, 2025 · Updated Aug 28, 2025

Client-side validation bypass in IBM Cloud Pak for Business Automation allows remote authenticated users to interrupt Authoring services. The Authoring interface accepts data after client-side checks are bypassed because the necessary validation is not enforced server-side; IBM has not disclosed the affected request or handler. Network access and a valid account are required, and the reported consequence is an Authoring service interruption without data disclosure or modification.
