Visitor-side script execution via unescaped widget settings
Published Mar 20, 2025 · Updated Apr 8, 2026
Stored cross-site scripting in DevItems HT Mega Addons for Elementor 2.8.3 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to inject scripts. The Google Map, Notification, and Scroll To Top widgets render the marker_title, notification_content, and stt_button_text settings without sufficient sanitization and output escaping. Contributor-level access is sufficient, and the stored script executes in a visitor's browser when an injected page is opened.
