Session theft via reflected search query
Published Feb 28, 2025 · Updated Feb 28, 2025
Reflected XSS in SOTESHOP before 8.3.4 allows remote attackers to execute JavaScript through a crafted search query URL. The /app-google-custom-search/searchResults route returns the query parameter in browser-rendered output without sufficient neutralization. A victim must open the crafted URL; the script can read session cookies or perform actions in the victim's session.
