Administrator-only log file read via path traversal
Published Mar 26, 2025 · Updated Apr 8, 2026
Path traversal in WebToffee Product Import Export for WooCommerce 2.5.0 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to read server log files. The download_file() handler sanitizes the file query value as text but uses it to construct and stream a log path without rejecting traversal outside the log directory. Administrator-level access is required, and the demonstrated consequence is disclosure of arbitrary log contents that can contain sensitive information.
